Youth today is trying to take on responsibility, and this is a terrific job. To take on responsibility without knowledge or direction leads to a tombstone. The greatest good we can do for a child is to influence him. To teach him can sometimes be difficult.
All we can do is put down in front of him all that is perfect, teach him what is right and wrong, and expect him to do the right thing as you were expected to do the right thing. Bring him to the nicer things in life, then we have done our job. A demonstration of what is right in life will sometimes convince a person that the right way is the way to go.
We have so few demonstrations today. We just tell a person and expect them to go ahead on blind faith. It is a case of the blind leading the blind. Visit a farm. You see compensation right away - right brings right. It's the man who has never been on a farm who says we need fertilizers for the bugs.
